The diplomatic service was a unit of the Coruscant Guard during the Clone Wars. During the Ambush on Rugosa, Jedi Master Yoda was accompanied by Clone Lieutenant Thire, Jek, and Rys, members of diplomatic service. Clone Commander Thorn led a garrison of the diplomatic service, who landed in twelve specialized Republic gunships and one Consular-class Armed Cruiser, to escort Senator Padmé Amidala to Scipio, although the entire detachment was later massacred by the Separatist garrison during the Battle of Scipio.
