Drogheda Royal Guard

The Drogheda Royal Guard were the armed forces on the planet Drogheda, who served the planet's monarchy. The guards were equipped with blaster weapons as well as distinctive helmets that covered the majority of their heads, and often used sky-sleds to traverse the rugged landscape of Drogheda. During the planet's civil war in 4 ABY, the royal guard was the primary force employed by Queen Sarna to combat a popular revolutionary front that aimed to overthrow the monarchy and replace it with a democratic government. However, the group was much more loyal to their commander, Harlech, and during the conclusion of the civil war, Harlech attempted to usurp the Queen's power and declare himself King. The revolutionaries were able to storm the Drogheda Citadel before he could seize power, preventing the coup. The majority of Harlech's men surrendered, and although Harlech decided to fight to the end, he was quickly stunned and prevented from any sort of heroic last stand.
