Field House

The Field House was, along with the Hearth House, one of the Expansion Region planet Kinyen's two legislative bodies. The Field House's members served one-year-long terms and were chosen at random from a list of residents who had received a brief political education, a measure that allowed the working class to have a say in government.

The Field House was responsible for choosing the members of the Hearth House, who would serve for life and had been more extensively trained for political life. Although the Hearth House produced most of Kinyen's laws, the Field House had the right to veto any law that it had passed. The latter met in a section of Doellin's Ring, the center of Kinyen's planetary government, which was also known as the Field House.
