The Four Hundred and Third, often referred to as the Four Hundred Third, was a military unit of the reconstituted Sith Empire's army during and after the Great Galactic War.

The 403rd enjoyed an impressive reputation in the Empire, so much that a naval officer such as Commander Jard of the Valor recognized the designation immediately, and the mention of their name impressed a squad of Imperial Army troopers.

The 403rd, or at least its component Company E, was associated with the Imperial sniper corps. The assassin Vrath Xizor claimed to have once been a sniper from Company E of the 403rd, serving detached as a marksman with other units.
