Hattans were a group of soldiers on the planet At Achrann. They were at war with the Troiks. When SM-33 and Jod Na Nawood stepped off the Onyx Cinder, they met a group of Hattans who asked them what flag they flew. Nawood negotiated with the Hattan, giving the Hattan a couple of Wim's dataries, in exchange for an entire herd of eopies which had been stolen from the Troiks. Nawood and SM-33 then returned the animals to the Troiks.
The Hattan forces included at least one tank.
