Imperial occupation force (Iakar)

A full-scale Imperial occupation force was dispatched to the planet Iakar several years after the formation of the Galactic Empire, hoping to claim any possible miracle cures that could be extracted from the world. The occupation force burned entire stretches of jungle to make way for multiple garrisons, and driving the local Iakaru further from their homes. The occupation force's stormtroopers were directed by scientists from the Imperial Corps of Bioengineers to capture specimens with no regard for any collateral damage. As such, the Iakaru commonly planned to build or steal starships or become stowaways on transports, hoping to eventually return to repel the Empire from their homeworld.
