The Imperial Senate Guard was an elite unit of guards formed from the elements of the Senate Guard of the Old Republic that were loyal to Palpatine and the New Order. They inherited the duty of their predecessors by serving as protectors of the Imperial Senate, but also ensured that they remained loyal to the Emperor. The armor of Imperial Senate Guards was a blue version of the red and black suits worn by the Emperor's Royal Guard. A subdivision to this unit was the Imperial Senate Sentinel.
