The Imperial Space Force was the space warfare extensive branch of the Galactic Empire, as well as its primary military arm. Once overseen by the Jedi-Bendu, the personal protectors of the Emperor, it was later taken over in the wake of the Great Jedi Rebellion by the Knights of the Sith who assumed their place and conducted a systematic purge of the rival sect. Consisting mainly of Stardestroyers, the armada was reinforced by the myriad ranks of Stormtroopers and the Space Fortress.
