A planetary government was active on Kwenn during the Republic Era. The Jedi Order transferred the Kwenn Jedi outpost to the government after the outpost was shuttered. The government maintained records on individuals and was located on the main government building on Capital Key. The government additionally consisted of an Education Ministry and a deputy minister for academic loan reconsolidation. It also contained the Coastal Watch, a planetary police force, local defense forces aboard the Kwenn Space Station, and Kwenn Traffic Control.
