Local 253

Local 253 was a sector of the Moisture Farmers of Tatooine, an organization of moisture farmers that was formed by 4 ABY. In that year, the Human Ardon Crell was a representative of local 253, having been elected by his peers to serve as a liaison between local 253 and the desert planet Tatooine's Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. Crell was present in Jabba's Palace on Tatooine, delivering money he collected from the Moisture Farmers of Tatooine to Jabba in exchange for the crime lord arranging the moisture farmers' protection from Tatooine's indigenous Tusken Raider species.
