Magenta squadron was a starfighter squadron of the Rebel Alliance active during the Galactic Civil War. In 1 ABY, the squadron was in mission in the Endor system when it was ambushed by a group of elite Imperial TIE interceptors and totally destroyed. As the squadron was missing, Havoc Squadron was dispatched in the area to investigate the disappearance. Havoc Squadron discovered the fate of Magenta squadron and eventually wiped out the group of TIE interceptors.
