A megacorporation was a corporate entity that was a massive conglomerate, usually with monopolistic qualities. The Trade Federation and Techno Union were powerful megacorporations. The Retail Caucus was a relatively smaller corporate body active in the galaxy, but it was still considered a powerful megacorporation. The Interstellar Parcel Service was also a megacorporation. By the Clone Wars, every megacorporation had their own private army.
