The mining safety committee was an organization that was responsible for a shortage of Nolarian 6000 drills in 39 BBY. On the planet Nolar, Quermian Dr. Murk Lundi was unable to purchase one of these drills from a machinery dealer, who said that the shortage would last for some time due to the committee's close oversight.
