Offices of the Grand Protector

The offices of the Grand Protector was the instituion surrounding the Grand Protector of the planet Rodia, a title used by the world's often violent dictators. Rodia's Senatorial Palace was constructed during the latter decades of the Galactic Republic in order to act as a neutral space for peaceful discussions between the offices of the Grand Protector, representatives of the various Rodian clans, and delegations from the Galactic Republic's Galactic Senate or other goverenments or large corporations. In 17 BBY, the Rodian Navik the Red of the Chattza clan seized power and became Grand Protector, moving the planet's capital from Equator City to Iskaayuma, the seat of his clan.
