The Old Ones were a tribe of mature humans who were the parents of the adolescent tribes of the Mud dwellers and Rockhawkers. Some time before 40 BBY, the Old Ones were marked with the symbol of the Ancient Ones and banished to live in the caverns of the Great Mountain by the war-mongering Rockhawkers, their own children.
