Picador Group was an elite starfighter unit in the CIS Navy during the Clone Wars that fielded Nantex-class starfighters armed with turbolaser cannons for use in combat against capital ships. The fighter group was named after either Geonosian picadors - drones who had the prestigious position of maintaining control in the Petranaki arena on Geonosis - or the Picador's spear, a weapon from the Geonosian martial arts form of Petranaki.
