Red Battalion

Red Battalion was a training battalion of the Imperial Academy of the Galactic Empire. Young Imperial cadets were placed in command of Red Battalion and command stormtrooper units that had rotated off active duty for training exercises. Exercises in Sirpar featured two battalions, including Red and Blue Battalion and contained more personnel than simply cadets from Arkanis. Orman le Hivre was provided with the rank insignia plaque of a major, while Zare Leonis was given a lieutenant's plaque.

The stormtrooper units under Red Battalion were ordered to take orders from the cadets to demonstrate the value of discipline and training. For the training exercises, Red Battalion included Company Cresh under the command of cadet Anya Razar and its subordinate Cresh-3 Platoon. Cresh-3 Platoon included multiple squads of stormtroopers, and at one point during the exercises, Leonis took direct command of one of the squads and were assigned to act as an artillery unit.
