Republic Mobile Surgical Unit

Republic Mobile Surgical Units were mobile, prefabricated medical centers utilized by the Galactic Republic's Grand Army during the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Employed by most Republic battalions, the surgical units were operated by a combination of medical interns, volunteers, droids, and members from the Jedi MedCorps, who handled wounded individuals. However, those who required long-term medical care were transferred to larger medical facilities, such as Haven-class medical stations, or MedStar-class and Pelta-class frigates.
After the Proclamation of the New Order and the rise of the Galactic Empire, the Mobile Surgical Units were replaced by the new Imperial version.
