Romero Cartel

The Romero Cartel was a criminal cartel that operated on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant during the High Republic Era. The group shared its name with the Romero Clan, a family-run criminal organization active around the same time that was based out of the remote world Kilotowa. At some point, the Utai Raik began working for the Romero Cartel and ran the tables of the organization's gambling games.

Eventually, the Romero Cartel assisted Raik in acquiring her own gambling den, Raik's Parlor, in exchange for paying them a protection fee and giving them useful information. In 382 BBY, Axel Greylark, the son of the Republic Supreme Chancellor Kyong Greylark, visited the establishment and thought about the Utai's connection to the cartel when reflecting on her origins.
