Sa'Kalla (movement)

A Drabatan-led movement was formed on the Outer Rim planet Pipada in the name of the young singer Sa'Kalla after she was captured and tortured by the Galactic Empire for speaking out against its rule by 1 BBY. The movement threatened Imperial control on Pipada, and in an attempt to stop the rebelling Drabatans, the Imperial governor of Pipada brought Sa'Kalla to the Pipada Auditorium. They ordered her to convince her people to cease rebellion. She defied the orders, instead calling out to keep resisting and was quickly killed on stage. The stadium erupted and the crowd killed the Imperial security present. The Drabatans briefly retook their homeworld before the Empire returned with reinforcements and claimed the planet once more.
