The Sligo Pirate gang was a swoop gang that resided in the underworld of Coruscant prior to the Clone Wars. At some point after 28 BBY, the leader of the gang challenged a Twi'lek to a swoop race through the tunnel of a power plant. After a few minutes there was an explosion, and the Twi'lek exited the tunnel victorious, with the Sligo Pirate leader limping out. The rest of the gang left aboard their swoop bikes, leaving their former chief.
