Stormrifle

Imperial stormrifles, also known as stormtrooper riflemen, were specialized members of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps. They fulfilled a similar role to stormsnipers and scout troopers, engaging with the enemy at considerable ranges.

This class of stormtroopers were distinguishable from their identically-armored comrades due to the yellow pauldron they wore. Their training also set them apart, as they received specialized instruction in the use of long-range blaster rifles and were deployed to supplement fast-attack operations, their heavy-hitting weapons supporting frontline troops as they engaged with enemy forces.

This isolation was also their greatest weakness, however, as they required support from regular troops to operate effectively, and their weapons proved clumsy in close range encounters.
