The Tantel mercs were a mercenary group affiliated with the Crymorah Syndicate during the Imperial Era. They had a numbered account at the Bank of Coruscant. The smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca once intervened on behalf of spice chemist Mama Annie when the Tantel mercs were harassing her.
This group shared its name with a type of armor worn by some of Jabba Desilijic Tiure's mercenary guards.
