The Family

The Family was a criminal organization that operated a series of racetracks within the underworld of the planet Coruscant. The group officiated illegal races through abandoned industrial zones and hosted gambling services for its clients. For a fee, the Family also allowed pilots to try their hand at the dangerous courses during non-race nights, an opportunity that the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker took during a secret rendezvous with his wife Padmé Amidala in 22 BBY. The Family employed at least one bouncer droid during the Clone Wars, an overly polite unit known as BS-1119.
