The planet Tholoth located in the galaxy's Colonies and its native Tholothians maintained a planetary government during the Republic Era and subsequent Imperial Era. The democratic government as a constituent part of the Galactic Republic, was very much attached to both it and the Jedi Order, but was later strictly monitored during the Galactic Empire's occupation of Tholoth.
