An elite squadron was active within the Imperial Starfighter Corps of the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War, which lasted from 1 BBY to 5 ABY. The squadron utilized TIE/ag "Aggressor" Starfighters. It was particularly active in a sector of the galaxy with Rebel Alliance activity and managed to destroy several Alliance squadrons.
In response to the losses, Sector Command, an Alliance Military branch, tasked a group of individuals to eliminate the squadron's pilots.
