Alasl was a type of rock recovered from deposits deep within the Jundland Wastes on the planet Tatooine. Despite its delicate appearance, alasl was commonly used to create finely crafted bowls and plates.

Alasl bowls were often noted for their exquisite coloration and thin construction, sometimes translucent enough for light to pass through their bases. These bowls were hand-carved by Tusken Raiders and were occasionally sold by offworld merchants.
