Ambience shroud

An Ambience shroud was a portable device used to conceal the heat signatures of organisms and vehicles from infrared sensors. It consisted of a sheet of flexible material supported by four telescoping poles with ground spikes and was powered by a power pack mounted beneath the shroud. In 44 ABY, Voort saBinring deployed an ambience shroud over a landspeeder during Wraith Squadron's mission on the planet Vandor-3, where it compensated for the heat rising from those beneath it, making the vehicle difficult for infrared sensors in satellites and airspeeders to detect.
