Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The Ancient Houses, also known as the Senex and Juvex Houses, were a narrow group of old-established Human bloodlines controlling planetary fiefs and interstellar lordships. The term could sometimes be extended to include other families of comparable antiquity and authority—for example, House Organa of Alderaan—but the original meaning of the term indicated the dominant lineages of the Senex-Juvex sectors, such as House Vandron and House Elegin.
