Autotourniquet

An autotourniquet was a device used in medical procedures that sealed over wounds and amputations to restrict blood loss. The Millennium Falcon had an autotourniquet as part of its emergency medical supplies. This autotourniquet was used when the Falcon rescued Luke Skywalker, who had lost his right hand in a lightsaber duel with Darth Vader.
