Bantha dung

Legends Canon version → Linked from 15 articles

Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

Bantha dung was a swear word used in the galaxy. It could also refer to something very unlikable. "In deep bantha dung" referred to being in a lot of trouble, while "heap of bantha dung" was used as an insult.

The word literally referred to a bantha's feces, which was also known as bantha droppings, and was known to have an awful odor, but was sometimes used as a fuel source. "Bantha droppings" was also employed metaphorically to refer to nonsense, e.g. "spare us the bantha droppings" or "your story's so much bantha droppings." "Bag of bantha droppings" referred to a worthless person, while "a seed in a field of bantha droppings" was used to describe something that was hard to find.
