Bantha herder

Canon Legends version → Linked from 6 articles

Bantha herders were individuals who herded banthas—large furry mammals. In 382 BBY, the Evereni female Yana Ro mentally referred to a dockmaster at the outpost Port Haileap on the Outer Rim planet Haileap as a bantha herder while undertaking a job for Elecia Zeveron—the Mother of the Path of the Open Hand cult. During his mission on the Outer Rim planet Metagos in 32 BBY, Jedi Master Mace Windu called the Iotran Commander Nils Slithis a bantha herder while being chased by Slithis in a ship.

The Kadas'sa'Nikto Neeku Vozo came from a long line of bantha herders, which included his parents, on the Hutt Space planet Kintan. By 34 ABY, they sold their most prized bantha calves so their son could become an engineer. That year, Vozo mentioned his parents' occupation as bantha herders and their selling of the calves to the Nikto Nenavakasa Nalor.
