Beht Wardo was a local crime lord on the planet Ord Mirit during the Cold War who bribed several politicians, giving them "campaign donations" in exchange for votes. A Galactic Republic investigation into the matter exposed the politicians' dealings, and later identified Wardo and additional politicians as well.
