Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
The Carida Corsairs pirate group maintained a home base on the planet Carida from which they launched raids along the Perlemian Trade Route. However, sometime before the Galactic War, the base's existence was discovered by the Galactic Republic and wiped out by a Republic strike force. As a result, the Corsairs were soon torn apart, and the group's survivors became a laughing stock to the galaxy.
