A computer core was a type of computer system that could be installed in Imperial-class Star Destroyers and store data. The ISD Vigilance had a damaged computer core which stored information regarding the ambush of a rebel convoy at Derra. The information was archived in a file named "Derra IV" in the Military Operations section of the Imperial Archives. In 35 ABY, the historian and Resistance paramilitary member Beaumont Kin cited the information from the Vigilance computer core in his book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.
