A control box also known as an Imperial pilot chestbox was a component of the atmospheric suits worn by TIE fighter pilots. The device featured multiple buttons and switches and controlled the air being fed into the suit's helmet.
By 3 ABY, the criminal Pyke Syndicate had collected at least one control box from Imperial shipwrecks on the Outer Rim moon Toshara.
Later that year, the syndicate gifted a control box to the thief Kay Vess after she gained an excellent reputation with the organization.
