Corellian Discreet Shipping Industry Chamber of Commerce

The Corellian Discreet Shipping Industry Chamber of Commerce, abbreviated CDSICoC, was an organization charged with representing and protecting the commercial interests of Corellian freighter pilots during the Galactic Civil War. Rather conservative, the Corellian Discreet Shipping Industry Chamber of Commerce competed with the progressive Open Shipping Consortium (OSC). The CDSICoC was firmly opposed to the opening of Corellian shipping lanes to offworlders while the OSC was favorable to this measure. The Corellian Discreet Shipping Industry Chamber of Commerce argued that such reform would lead to shoddy work and a general lack of professionalism. After the Battle of Yavin, the rivalry between the two organizations escalated into conflict. In 1 ABY, when a freighter dumped several cargoes of dangerous animals into populated areas of Corellia, each organization blamed pilots affiliated with its concurrent to be responsible for the situation. Then, both the CDSICoC and the OSC recruited spacers to hunt the creatures.
