The Count of Gesl was a noble title of Irmenu. In the decades before the Clone Wars, it was held by Walon Vau's father. Walon would have inherited the title, but was disowned by his family after a doomed love affair with the princess of a neighboring province led to his exile from Irmenu by the Imperius priesthood. After Vau joined the Mandalorians, his cousin assumed the title.

Despite the aversion of the Irmenu to offworld contact, the Counts of Gesl maintained a bank vault in the Dressian Kiolsh Merchant Bank on Mygeeto to store the family fortune. Many years after his exile during the Clone Wars, Walon Vau plundered the vault to regain his inheritance.
