Credit ingots were a physical form of credits, the standard currency in the Galactic Republic and later the Galactic Empire. They were small, flat, rectangular bars of gold- and silver-colored metal, the silver ones being a bit longer than the gold ones. They had symbols stamped onto their surface, including the credit symbol (). Credit ingots could be stacked into blocks that held themselves together for transportation.
Another means of carrying credits was through credit chips.
