Datalog

Datalogs, also known as logs, were a kind of data storage device utilized by pirate captains.

A figure well-known in pirate lore, Captain Tak Rennod, kept his own datalog, in which he hid the coordinates to the legendary planet At Attin, a Jewel of the Old Republic yielding massive supplies of Old Republic credits. Before his death, Rennod had left the datalog in his lair on Lanupa. Around 9 ABY, the lair was penetrated by former pirate Captain Silvo and four younglings from the Skeleton Crew, who hailed from At Attin. With the droid SM-33's help, Silvo accessed Rennod's datalog and obtained the coordinates to the planet.
