Directional-repulsorlift steering was a type of engine that could be used in air buses. In 13:3:28, a study by Rhire Medical Academy found several species on the planet Coruscant to be at risk of disease due to air pollution; the study accordingly recommended that older air buses with propellant-based lateral thrusters be replaced with more modern variants equipped with directional-repulsorlift steering.
