A Dud II was a piece used in the game Canto Pass which resembled a thermal detonator. A single Dud was worth a negative point with each additional Dud piece doubling the negative score. By 3 ABY, one such piece had been stored in a container near a crashed ship at the Haskà Circle rock formation on Toshara, a moon located in the Outer Rim.
That year, the thief Kay Vess found the container and stole the Dud II piece.
