An economist was a specialist in the field of economics. In 10 BBY, the human smuggler Han Solo and his partner Chewbacca were preparing to board the First Light, the yacht of the Crimson Dawn crime lord Dryden Vos, while it was docked in front of an old fuel refinery on the Outer Rim Territories planet Savareen. Before walking aboard the yacht, Solo mentally compared the difference between the starship's luxurious exterior and the decrepit appearance of the refinery to a galactic economist's study in contrasts.
