Eggmate

In Tognath culture, eggmates were individuals who shared a special bond due to their unhatched eggs grafting together while being nurtured in suspension jelly, although the true word was untranslatable. Eggs could fuse in pairs or trios and, once gestated, the larvae would go on to share a close bond in life. If fused early enough, some egg pairs developed a telepathic or empathic bond. These egg mates could always sense one another's location and emotional state of mind. The most successful float farmers, a dangerous but highly romanticized Tognath profession, were eggmates, able to detect one another's location and safety.
