Electronic translator

Electronic translators were devices that automatically translated between different languages, such as between non-human languages and Galactic Basic Standard.

Electronic translators included the translating vocoders that converted alien languages into speech, such as vocoder masks or translator collars. Other devices, such as translation visors, rendered the translation as Aurebesh text.

Most members of such species as Kyuzo, Anomids, Gigorans, and Ithorians relied on such translation devices or interpreter droids when talking with outsiders.
