This species of fluorescent algae was discovered in the Ragnos Lakes region of Kesh in the year 4985 BBY. Hoping to find a way to use the algae to light Sith structures, Lost Tribe of Sith leader Yaru Korsin sent Ravilan Wroth and his retinue to the region to investigate.
