Galactic traders

The Galactic traders were a Guild in the Galactic Empire. Some of the Galactic traders were sympathetic to the Independent Systems, such as Aquilae because of the restrictions the Empire placed on their operations. They had a base on Norton Three, in the Norton Asteroid Belt of the Aquilaean system. Trade frigates were operated by the traders. They were overseen by the Imperial Ministry of Transport.

Galactic traders wore distinctive clothing involving the use of gold and furs.

Bail Antilles, a trader, was also a spy for Aquilae. Another trader was Aay Zavos, who had contacts with the Chrome Companies on Ophuchi. When the Empire announced plans for the annexation of Aquilae, all trade frigates were grounded at Alderaan.
