The Galaxy Gladiator Federation was the governing body that controlled the underground world of arena gladiator fighting. Shortly before the Clone Wars, the Federation was faced with opposition from a number of fronts, primarily because it lacked sufficient planning to handle the wide variety of alien abilities and disparate fighting styles found throughout the galaxy.

After the end of the Clone Wars, gladiator droid battles gained popularity, though many fans were only interested in the carnage.
