Gene therapy was the use of DNA as a pharmaceutical agent to treat disease and could also be used to supplement and alter genes. Zsinj had ex-Imperial scientist Tuzin Gast and his subordinates, to use genetic and chemical therapies to increase the intellect and Human-like qualities of species such as the Gamorreans, Ewoks and the Talz.
