Gray Rot

Gray Rot was a plague that caused the skin of the infected being to turn gray and decay. The skin then became scabrous and gray until it eventually cracked and ulcerated. Death would then follow a few painful days later. It was treatable only within the first few days of infection, in its early stages, with bacta.

Some womp rats on Tatooine carried this plague and could inoculate it by biting their prey. In 1 ABY, Melios Purl tasked a spacer to help him investigate a potential outbreak, and deliver a much needed vaccine to the moisture farmers across Tatooine.
